December 6th Mortgage Market Wrap-up 9

Mortgage backed securities (MBS) closed up 9 basis points today at 102.88 having broken through resistance offered by the 50 and 200 day moving averages and closed just 12 basis point below resistance offered by the100 day moving average. The 30 year was available at 4.00% today.  The 30 year jumbo was at 4.125%.  Whether in New England, the Mid Atlantic or the Midwest or anywhere else in the U.S. history tells us it is time to refinance!!
