Our 15 mile freeway stretch which has been closed for almost two weeks has re-opened one day ahead of Cal-Trans prediction. Congratulations to Cal-Trans and all those who worked 2 shifts daily. Now, those like our neighbors and friends will no longer not have to drive 276 miles/ 5-6 hours to get to Santa Barbara from Carpinteria for work.

I was hoping we would not have to travel to meet a client, and have to drive either to Burbank or LAX which is undergoing massive construction, and when done will be the 2nd largest airport in the US after Atlanta...we are spoiled by our little airport. Road construction can really be a pain. With our winters all road work is done in about a 5 month period. It can really make getting around town in the summer a challenge.
