Where is the best place to find help for work needed around the home?

I am sure that you are able to recommend some reliable contractors in your area.

"A Happiness Guarantee" - Well, that would make me feel a little better.  One of the ways I have selected those for work around the house, is via word of mouth from other local real estate agents.  I've had several great workers over the years that have come from that avenue.

CONGRATULATIONS Scott, on having this blog FEATURED in the Old Farts Club group!    

Many have mentioned that you should just be recommending people you or your clients have used and trust.  I recently started using the homekeepr app which lets me easily save and share contractor info with clients.

I am super happy with everything Amazon. Our MLS is migrating to Amazon Cloud and I did some exploration and found they are one of the biggest cloud storage entities. Who would have thought.

Good afternoon Scott - this is certainly one for me to keep in mind.  I have also used Angies List.

I've never heard of this Amazon service. I will certainly look into it.

A neighbor gave me the name and number of a contractor after I asked for it. I used said contractor and had a very bad experience. I told the neighbor and she said she had a bad experience with him too.  Can you imagine? Why didn't she tell me that instead of giving me his contact info????

Thanks for sharing this - it's new to me but I'll interested in hearing the feedback from those who ise it. A number of people use a military site here to find all kinds of help, and there are many people seeking recommendations, and sharing them, on our local Nextdoor sites. Those who show up, are reasonably priced and do a great job are such a pleasure to have.

happiness guarantee sounds like a good plan to me.  I hadn't heard of it.  Thankfully I do have tried and true vendors.

Unless one can offer constant work for these people it is very hard to find right help when you need them.  With two groups of each trade I often have to find help elsewhere.   Gardner wants $85 an hour. Handy person wants $150 an hour ....  There is no inflation?
