Unlock the Buyer's Imagination, Increase the Seller's Bottom Line

Almost 2000 REALTORS® participated in a survey asking about the effect of staging home on buyers. This survey was conducted by NAR and produced some very interesting results.

Buyers' agents said that 77% of buyers found it easier to visualize a staged home. 49% of these agents said that staged homes had an effect on the way the buyers viewed the homes.

The most important room to be staged according to the survey was the living room followed by the master bedroom and then the kitchen.

The agents said that buyers tend to overlook other property faults when the home is staged. They also said buyers make higher offers ranging from 1%-20% higher. No agent said that staging had a negative impact on the offered price.

Home staging was said to reduce market time. 39% of the agents said it greatly decreased market time and 23% said it slightly decreased market time.

Creating interest to make buyers want to see the home, helping them visualize the potential, buyers making higher offers and decreasing market time are all great reasons for sellers to stage a home when selling.

Maximize the home's potential; unlock the buyer's imagination.

It absolutely matters...leavng too much to the imagination is to leave less money than a Seller can get from a sale !

Roy, great choice for a reblog, and almost every home needs some staging, so the home shows in the best light.

Wish staging was just the standard for most listings. It makes such good sense, yet it is still tough to convince seller that it's money well spent. D
