6 Years ago today my family and I moved back into our newly renovated home. While the contractor was finished with the home there was still a lot of work yet to be completed. Not the least of which was reseeding the lawn.
It truly was a joyous day 6 years ago and by all means I can easily equate it to anyone purchasing a brand new or a previously owned home.
While we did not hunt for a location for our "renewed" home every other aspect of having a home custom built was the same. We chose a contractor, Krema Designs, who I knew from working with on many other projects. We designed a floor plan. Although we used the same exterior frame we had before the flood we came up with a totally new floor plan. We chose all/everything that went into the home from the texture finish on the walls to the floor coverings, cupboards, and cabinets.
My point with this post is that if you are a first time home Buyer or if you are about to purchase your 1st Brand New Built For YOU home you may want to work with a Realtor who has lived the experience. My advice to you will be based on ""Been There, Done That" and I'm here to help. I know the local contractors, I know what questions to ask, and I also know who/what to avoid.
