24 years ago, on Mother's Day, my mother passed away after a many year struggle with cancer. There's an old saying "The hand the rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world."
A mother's place in this world is one of significance. She is the nurturer, the healer, the listener, the primary mover and shaker in a child's life. She plays too many roles to really give proper acknowledgment to.
When I was growing up it seemed that we had a dozen mothers. All the mothers in the neighborhood had their eyes on us and we'd all get disciplined by them, when appropriate.
SO, today I'd like to thank you mother's and wish you a Happy Mother's Day
