When I stop by and read a blog I always comment. If I don't agree with the post, I say so and why and always with respect. I get numerous reads for my blog but maybe only a quarter comment. I don't understand or get that. I'm not scary and I promise to be kind in my responses. If you read my post and have nothing else to say, please say hello and I'll understand. Thanks.
I agree with Tammy Lankford, - it hasn't happened with one of your posts, but sometimes I disagree strongly and choose to simply leave. My opinion isn't going to change anyone's mind, so why get into it?
Other times, the writing is "heavy" or the copy is dense (no paragraph breaks) so I don't read past the first sentence or two - or I see that the subject matter doesn't interest me.
And then there are times when someone else has already said what I might say, so I don't see much point in repeating it. I know - comment anyway for the points, but I don't pay much attention to that.

Hello Marte. I understand what you have said. I don't wish to get into it either. TY Sheila
Sheila, I guess it is kind of like window shopping...you look and maybe you enter the store, maybe not.

Hello Sheila Anderson ..just kidding.
We all like to see comments on our posts. If I read a post I don't agree with, I comment, leave it or I write one with my own opinion.
Thanks for reading and for always commenting.

I haven't really paid attention to the number of folks who read my blog posts in comparison to those who comment. But, it is nice to hear from folks!

Hi Myrl. I look at traffic to knpow if I have comments. Frequently the emails don't come through. TY Sheila
Hi Sheila,
I have had occasion when I have left a blog because I couldn't think of a tactful way to comment. I'm not going to hijack someone else's blog with my opinion unless I think it actually might add to the conversation. Some people are so adament about their opinions they don't seem to welcome different points of view.

Such a simple request. I hope you get equal numbers of views and comments.

I don't recall it on your posts, but I have disagreed with someone on a public pointing real estate post where it was best for their business if I kept my opinions to myself. I don't think we should be disagreeable on a business post. If we feel strongly about it we can always write our own post.
And sometimes if soemthing causes a post to come up in search results and it gets a consumer click it will show on the views, but consumers usually don't comment. And every member doesn't have their settings to even allow consumer comments.

Hi Sheila- I try very hard to read as many posts as I can especially to find posts for my weekly series. There have been times when I read a post and didn't comment simply because of lack of time. If I read a post that I do not agree with, I don't comment if it is consumer focused.

Occasionally, I won't comment on a post I read, either it's because I don't have anything to add and it would feel superficial, or I don't have time. :)
