You know how much I love every aspect of real estate, from managing client investments to browsing home trends on Houzz. And often, we take a look at a few rehabs that have caught my eye. Sometimes it’s a Midcentury Modern home, restored to its former glory, and other times, it might be a beachside bungalow with a hidden charm. In either case, whether you’re a Realtor, a home buyer, or a homeowner, there’s so much inspiration out there when it comes to real estate. And today we’re going to discover a bit more of it!
Contemporary Comfort in an Attractive Foursquare
I am absolutely in love with this American Foursquare rehab. Just look at the before and after images! As a successful real estate agent and home rehabber, I can say that I understand why it won a Best of Boston award. For this one, the designers even added new spaces that compliment the home in a way that will “wow” you. Really, I can’t say how much it’s about finding that hidden charm and amplifying it to its highest levels.
The combination of old-school metal light fixtures with completely transparent glass ones is something else. Add in the clean white and the warm wood and natural stone, and you have yourself a property that transcends the everyday. Of course, the view from the lounge area is absolutely out-of-this-world perfect. But everything about this home rehab feels subtle, comfortable, and soft. Now, compare the new look to the old, and you’ll be in for an even bigger surprise!
Backyard Bliss in this Outdoor Rehab
Now, let’s turn to something a little different this week. Over the months, we’ve seen a number of wonderful rehabs that have transformed their respective properties into magical spots. And we’ve even seen how this applies to the interiors and exteriors of some interesting properties. Sometimes these properties have gone through changes that were hard to imagine at first.
But with this rehab, we’re turning our eye to the backyard. And why not? Throughout my real estate career, I’ve paid close attention to outdoor spaces as well. Doing so can sometimes mean the difference between considerable sums of money at closing. And this property is no different. What I love best is how the backyard has become an oasis without getting gimmicky. Too often, you’ll see how this can be the case with other outdoor rehabs. However, the designers have carefully chosen their elements to create a blissful getaway that you could spend almost any day relaxing in.
