The 3rd Annual NAR ActiveRain Meetup in Boston
Where to begin when you come away from such a wonderful event?
Of course it all about the people!
It was such a blast to get together with so many AR friends last night at the Sheraton Hotel in Boston for the 3rd Annual AR Meetup at the fall NAR meetings (following Chicago in 2017 and Orlando in 2016) starting at 6 pm.

I think last night was the largest NAR/AR Meet-up, with 14 Rainers from around the country (if I counted correctly) including some New England locals – host Lisa Von Domek (TX), Debe Maxwell (NC), Conrad Allen (MA), Lisa Friedman (VT), George Souto (CT), Grant Schneider (NY), Doug Dawes (MA), Endre Barath (CA), Peter Den Boer (GA), Sheila Anderson (MA), Dusty Rhoton (AZ), Nina Hollander (NC), Debbie Reynolds (TN) – plus 5 spouses I believe.
The weather was not the best, and bravo to the New Englanders who braved the drive (2+ hours), and ugly traffic, to join the fun. I decided to try the T (the subway) that I used to take all the time when living here to relive that experience. Amazing what you forget how to do, but I figured it out.

AR is really a special community…I suspect few would disagree…and it is always so wonderful to meet up with people who you know online and like, but have not met, as well as to catch with others you’ve met before.

I think the main event broke up around 8 since some people had to move on to other things or drive home, and 7 of us (Endre, Debe, me, Doug, the 2 Lisa’s and Conrad) had a long and lively dinner at a Japanese restaurant, Douzu Sushi on Dartmouth Street (not everyone opted for sushi). We had great fun, terrific conversation, and some pretty good laughs!! I'm not sure what time I got home but it was close to midnight.
