November has been my best month so far...on my blog

I'm still astounded by how well my blog has been doing.  In November, my traffic starts to decline the weekend before Thanksgiving until 12/26.  And, of course that is what has happened again.  No surprise.

Thankfully, each year, the traffic is higher and I've been doing a couple of holiday articles, so that helps a tad.

But, the big surprise is that despite the traffic decline, I made more money.  In fact, it's a record high for me...and $1,000 higher vs the October (and October was a record high for me).

I was pleasantly surprised to see that 2 holiday articles that I wrote LAST year, are doing well for me and are on the 1st page of google.

The first one is how to protect your hardwood floors while you have a Christmas tree.  This one is ranking #1 and it's in the snippet.  It makes sense that it's doing well since I blog about hardwood flooring.

I wish the question was googled more often, but I'm excited that I'm #1 and earned $165 in Amazon commissions last month (plus money for ads).  It's cool because I wrote it last year, and with no extra effort, it's generating money for me this year (and hopefully for years to come).

The 2nd one was a surprise as it has nothing to do with my blog, but it's where to find the prettiest flocked christmas trees online.  And, it's making more money ($217 last month).  I found out today that's it's #2 in google.  Who knew?

This year, I wrote 3 more articles.  One is doing amazing on Pinterest, so I'm getting lots of ad revenue for that.  A second one is doing pretty well now.

We'll see how things pan out.  I wonder if some of the new posts this year will do even better next year.

I'm pleased either way.

Crossing my fingers for December (as my traffic continues to decline...like usual).  I'm doing a bunch of SEO work this month, so I should be in a strong position for January.  And, I'm hoping to launch my SEO ebook this month, so we'll see how that does.

Here's a tip for you, Debbie. If you do a blog about downloading legal forms for real estate, and then link, you'll probably do very well. I had linked through Commission Junction for those forms on another website I won't mention, and when they saw how much money I made, they disallowed it and set up their own links.
