The supply of single family detached homes has been increasing in Carlsbad since the beginning of the year, although we have seen a decline around the holidays which is not unusual; current inventory versus demand still means this is a seller’s market (read the Carlsbad Real Estate Market Report for November 2018 for more details on the Carlsbad housing market).

Indeed, at this time based on the rate of sales over the last 3 months we have about 3.1 months of inventory of single family detached homes with 3-bedrooms, a market that favors sellers. It's an improvement, however, over the 1.7 months of inventory earlier this year.
