Some of the other Key West agents got upset with me a few years ago and enacted a special Gary Thomas rule regarding writing in the public spaces about mls listings. I obey the rule. Others write blogs and post listings on internet and do not.  Regardless, there is a new listing that may interest buyers for a property in Old Town. Send me an email at garyethomas@aol.com. State your name, address, email address, and phone and ask for info on new bank owned property. I have interior photos when the home was occupied.  Or call me. Number above. Why don't people want you to write about the homes that come on the market? That sounds stifling.

Kat,  our mls allows new listings to be displayed on all Realtors websites. But the mls enacted a rule that requires me to get permission to write about listings. It's life.

Gary- they must not see the wonderful way you can highlight a listing. If they did, they would pay you to write about a listing!!!! You are the only agent I would go to if I were selling or buying a property in Key West.

I can understand this thinking, actually. Our MLS prohibits marketing of other agent's listings without permission (including the COE), but we can display them on our website. There is a fine line between "talking" about a listing and "marketing" it. Of course, it hasn't bothered me because I only talk about my own listings, LOL.

I can also see where you are a big threat to other agents in Key West, Gary. Because you know so much more than the average bear, I bet, and because they don't blog. They are missing a huge opportunity in Key West real estate, but you can't drag every horse to the creek.
