Ballantyne Community Conversations Meeting - April 10th

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS hi Paul these are very informal meetings with local leaders on topics that impact residents of the Ballantyne area. Up close and personal, as they say.

Elizabeth Weintraub Sacramento Realtor Top 1% hi Elizabeth... the Ballantyne Breakfast Club has been around now for 18 years and is well-known here... they have recently joined forces with the South Charlotte Partners group and jointly sponsor the occasional evening meeting. And yes, our schools, especially top schools in areas like Ballantyne are quite over-crowded due to the demand for these neighborhoods and their growth. which isn't likely to stop any time soon.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel hi Alexandra... I don't know that anything ever really gets solved at these meetings, but they do provide an excellent opportunity for area residents to meet key community leaders up close and personal and hear what they have to say, as well as provide feedback to them.

Bob "RealMan" Timm hi Bob... a good teacher can make all the difference, regardless of class size. I attended private schools, so my 8th grade graduating class had only 9 and my high school class had 54, but I was in the advanced section where we typically had no more than 15 or so students in the class.

George Souto hi George... the Charlotte metro area has grown so rapidly, especially in areas like Ballantyne, that it's hard for the schools to keep up and it takes a long time to find land and build new schools to accommodate the growth.

Lottie Kendall hi Lottie, when Ballantyne Breakfast Club was first founded in 2001 all meetings were on a Saturday morning. They've recently also joined forces with the South Charlotte Partners group and together they now also sponsor some evening meetings.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® hi Sheri... there's a reason I keep my finger on the pulse of the Ballantyne community.... I've lived here myself since 2001, long before most people had "discovered" Ballantyne.

Sally K. & David L. Hanson hi Sally, we have town hall meetings here, as well. Ballantyne Breakfast Club and South Charlotte Partners are private organizations who help coordinate dissemination of information to area residents and have little to nothing to do with elected officials who sponsor town hall meetings.
