The Opening day for the Colorado Rockies was yesterday at the one and only Coors Field. The beginning of baseball marks a noticeable difference in the air as spring becomes full force in Denver. We will have mild days, and then plunge into deep wet and heavy snow all night, that is melted and gone completely before the morning commute. In Denver property management, spring is the lead in to the busy summer cycle, but in recent years has become just as busy. All of this is ushered in by Opening Day at Coors Field, which is arguably the day that most people are most interested in the Rockies. They usually are coming off a bad last season, as has been the trend since around 2007. And of course, the enthusiasm will wane as the season progresses, but there will be a spike in attendance if they start doing good, or people want to see the other good teams in the league stop by the Mile-High City.
