REFERRAL SERVICES - WHAT MAKES IT WORTH WHILE?

By
Real Estate Attorney with THE ZARETSKY LAW GROUP - Board Certified Real Estate Atty and AUTOMATED LAND TITLE COMPANY

What is important to you if you are offerred a referral from another brokerage?  Do you use any referral services that give you "qualified leads"?  What do you think a qualified lead should be?

There are more and more referral concepts out there.  Zillow, Referral Exchange, Homelight, Referz, and so many more.  What works and what does not?  What is a good idea and what just isn't your cup of tea?

Please help me in my study of what works, doesn't work and what could work better by answering in your comment below the answers to these three questions.  More questions will be coming so please "FOLLOW" me so you get alerted when they are posted.

So here we go:

1.  Have you ever received a referral from another agent?

2.  Did you pay the referring agent a referral fee?

3.  How much of a referral fee did you pay the referring agent?  This may be a percentage of the commission or a flat fee.

4.  Have you registered with any referral service?

Just comment below and answer 1, 2, 3 and 4

Thanks much - and don't forget to "FOLLOW ME"!!

Richard, have had my CRS designation for almost 20 years, and have given and received many over the years.   Have never bought from ZTR.

I always get curious as to who is doing the referring. It becomes a really interesting thing to me.

Joan Cox if you’ve never bought from them, I very likely won’t either. Thanks for the input, Joan. :)
