National Philharmonic Orchestra to Close Operations

 

After more than 40 years of operation, the National Philharmonic orchestra is closing.

The orchestra, which according to its website is the largest Montgomery County-based producer and presenter of classical music concerts, announced in a press release Tuesday afternoon that it will cease operations and that more than 130 union musicians and staff will lose their jobs. - Bethesda Magazine
