More than we can realize, the great practice of gardening can be a bit overwhelming and truly daunting – especially for beginners. There will indeed be a lot of questions lingering in your head, such as how should you start, where should I begin, or what practices should be avoided to keep your plants alive and growing. Good news for you, we have listed below some of the gardening missteps that you should stay away from as much as you possibly can.

Do Not Ignore Your Plants Lighting Needs

Just because you have an area of soil within your home territory does not mean that it is already viable to start your garden on. A whole lot of beginner gardeners fail to realize that. They tend to forget that one thing that plants need to fully grow aside from water. Perhaps you too may have forgotten it; sunlight is essential for your plants to nourish and grow. If you want your garden to develop and be alive, always make sure that there is enough sunlight to the area where you are planting your seeds. Each plant may be different as to how much sun ray they prefer, that is why you must always read on your seed packets so may plan out your planting strategy accordingly.

Do Not Start Big

Having a garden filled with assorted vegetables, fruits, and plants is the dream of every gardener. Although it is indeed tempting to buy every vegetable, flower, or fruit seeds you may find at the gardening store, do your absolute best to control that urge. You wouldn't want your garden to fail even before you actually start, and committing on a vast number of different plants right from the beginning is gardening suicide. Start small, make sure that you'd have a manageable workload, and then add more as you gain that valuable experience and confidence that is indeed vital for gardeners such as yourself.

Good morning Tamra. My days of gardening are over with an apartment in the sky. But, don't start too big rings true from past experience. Enjoy your day!
