50 Shades of Greyitude | So Many Blessing | So Much to be Thankful For

Gratitude, thankfulness, or gratefulness, from the Latin word gratus ‘pleasing, thankful’, is a feeling of appreciation felt by and/or similar positive response shown by the recipient of kindness, gifts, help, favors, or other types of generosity, towards the giver of such gifts. Wiki. 

Gratitude is Infinite - Endless

There are truly more than 50 shades of gratitude.  In fact, gratitude is infinite and endless. For this post, I just started listing many things I am grateful for.   

1. Life - is truly a gift.

2. Our Creator - thank you! 

3. All of Creation - so much beauty surrounds us. 

4. Love - that's all there really is. 

5. Truth - withstands the test of time.

6. Faith - have it.

7. Hope - never lose it.

8. Kindness - just be kind. 

9. People Who Help People - understand the many reasons we are here. 

10. Forgiveness - for ourselves and others. 

11. Happiness - it is a choice.

12. Joy - resides within us. 

13. Compassion - have it. 

14. Understanding - reach for it. 

15. Healing - prayers help.

16. Creativity - we all have special gifts to offer.

17. Nature - embrace and respect it. 

18. Serenity - let go of the small stuff. 

19. Animals - we share the planet with them.

20. People Who Help Animals - thank you for your kind & loving heart.

21. Spirit - feel it. 

22. Guidance - ask for it. 

23. The Moon - isn't it beautiful?

24. The Sun - thank you for keeping us warm. 

25. The Stars - ever wonder what else is out there?

26. The Oceans - enjoy them.

27. Memories - treasure them, all of them. 

28. Laughter - until your belly hurts and tears flow.

29. Family - love them all. 

30. Friends - embrace them. 

31. Neighbors – of the nice, kind, helpful variety

32. Community - be involved. 

33. Police Professionals - thank you for keeping us safe. 

34. Food - to sustain us 

35. Fire Fighters - that you for keeping us safe.

36. Home - appreciate the comfort and security it provides.

37. Emergency Medical Technicians - thank you for saving so many lives.

38. Comfort - appreciate all that we have. 

39. Veterinarians - what would we do without them?

40. Peace - feel it in our hearts.

41. Pets - I cannot imagine life without pets.

42. Mentors - thank you for your selfless support. 

43. Opportunity - it's there.

44. Water - what did we do before plastic bottles?

45. Connections - make them with the best intentions.

46. Health - take good care of our bodies.

47. Tranquility - peace of mind and joy in our hearts.

48. Learning - we are never too old or too young.

49. Contentment - celebrate where we are in life.

50. Rain - the planet needs it.

Life is truly a gift.  Each moment is a blessing.  We choose to see the beauty and the gifts in life by what we focus our attention on.  When we focus our attention, our hearts, our minds, on love, compassion, giving, kindness, that is what we will see in the world. 

The opposite is true of course but we are not going there ... not here, not now. 

We choose how we feel about life's challenges, adversity, and disappointments.  It is okay to feel whatever "negative" emotions we choose, we just don't want to stay there too long.  When we move past negative, we are in a position to receive the bountiful gifts that surround us.
