ATTENTION CAT LOVERS! January 22nd (that's today!), is National Answer Your Cat's Questions Day! Does you cat have questions? Do you have answers for your cat's questions?

Historians believe that cats and humans have been co-habiting for some 12,000 years, and yet despite these thousands of years, we as humans still are quite mystified by the cats around us. But as it turns out, cats are just as mystified by us humans! And they have question for us!

If you've ever wondered what your cat is really thinking when its sitting there sphynx-like, today is the day to pay close attention to your cat and give them some answers to their age-old questions.

And if you're a cat lover, like myself, be sure to check out Ellen's video about National Answer Your Cat's Questions Day. No matter how many times I've watched this video, I laugh like crazy each time! I bet you will, too.

One question I do know so many cats are asking today and every day is "when will I get my fur-ever home?" There are so many beautiful cats in shelters just waiting for you to give them a loving, fur-ever home. Why not answer that question today and go to your local shelter and adopt one of these cats?

Here in the Charlotte metro area, you can go to any number of shelters and find a nice selection of beautiful cats and kittens who are hoping you'll take one (or more) of them home with you. That's where we adopted our cat, Mr. Marlow... and he has but one question for me every day (see the picture below for what it is!):

Mr. Marlow is not much of a lap cat... he likes to snuggle next to you, but not on you. Now, Bingo, is totally different. He thinks he should always be sitting on your lap... all 48 pounds of him. It's a job telling him no!

Michael Jacobs why not, indeed? Having lived with cats virtually all of my life since I was 6 years old, with the exception of 4 years in college and then while in grad school (when I could afford to feed me or a pet), I've learned that cats are a mystery to unravel day after day.
