Our friend Richie Alan Naggar is hosting this contest and I would be remiss if I did not participate in his challenge. Now keep in mind I seldom Re-blog a post, but this post was clearly Re-blog worthy.
Active Rain has had so many great writers with so much to give, the hardest part for me was to choose a post. I have been on Active Rain for way over ten years, I have seen many great posts. Some of the writers have left the platform others have passed away, I intentionally did not choose one of those posts from people who are no longer active for one reason or another.
I have always considered myself a positive person who tries to look at the bright side of everything. Now keep in mind, I do look at all sides and like to make sure the right choices are made and will result in a favorable outcome. This of course does cause some worrying on my part. Nevertheless, I am a chess player and look eight to ten steps ahead to see what possible options and obstacles I might face personally as well as professionally.
Did you know that the Synonms for worrying is being concerned, nervous, pessimistic, bothered, burdened, disquieted and anxious?
I believe Beth Atalay has the right attitude and the right solution. For some reason I missed this post when she wrote it and I am glad I stumbled upon it now. I was surprised that the Feature Ferries missed this impressive post as well.
Are you a worrier professionally or personally? I hate to admit it to overcome this weakness, I practice daily and preach what I practice daily. Try not to worry but focus on good solid actions.
Gratefully, when I was in the US Army at Ranger School, I learned whatever you practice day in, and day out, is what you will do instantaneously as a reflex when there is no time to think, only time to react. So might as well practice by doing things the right way. Beth Atalay gives great advice how to handle things and how to overcome worrying. Please check it out and if you agree leave a comment on her post as well.
