Honoring our Veterans

Happy Memorial Day to you too - I agree that we should spend more time on the meaning of the day rather than as the kick off to the pool season.

Hi Dorie - today more than ever we should remember those words of Ronald Regan and remember the sacrifices for freedom.

The weather always seems to cooperate for celebrations to be had on this day and it's a shame that there won't be gatherings this year.

The pandemic has curtailed many of Sacramento's traditional Memorial Day observations.  But, we still have the capacity to individually reflect on the meaning of this day, and the sacrifice paid so we remain free.

Hello Dorie,  This is a very important day for all us to remember and honor those that gave their lives to keep us free.

We can never do enough to thank those who gave their all so that we may live Free

Dorie even though this year Memorial Day will be celebrated differently than in past years, the meaning of this day stays the same.  I hope you have a special Memorial Day, and find a way to honor those whom we honor today.

Good Morning Dorie,

One of my favorite movie themes is war movie. What would a nation become without the brave soldiers who fought in the battlefields? Those courageous soldiers paid dearly for freedom and other noble causes.

Dorie, on Memorial Day weekend, we think about honoring our Veterans the most, but we need to do so all year long! 

Hello Dorrie, I like what Mr. Reagan said. Sadly for too many Memorial Day is just another paid holiday and more people need to truly understand why we have the freedom we do here in America. May people wake up so we can keep the freedom so many fought and died for.
