Everything seems to be happening at once this week.
First I was just featured on Starter Story about how I created a business/website that earns more than $20,000 a month in net profit. I originally wrote this in March or April or so (I can't even remember what I wrote, but it was my turn around story and how I've used my blog to eliminate a huge amount of debt.
I was honored to be featured here as there are some real superstars featured in this online website. And, thank you so so many of you posting on my facebook update on this.
The 2nd cool thing that happend is that I finally made the LAST payment towards by bad debt. This morning the payment cleared and I got this sweet note from Chase.
This was for the remaining $170,000 I had left on a loan. I was looking forward to getting a screen shot of the zero balance. But, alas, now the account is officially closed down and they are releasing the lien on my home. Yay.
I had a deadline to get this paid off by 8/31/2022, so I'm 2 years early!
And, when things were looking well on my blog, I had set a new target of getting it paid down by this Thanksgiving.
Then, we all know what happened in March, and it's been a series of pivots.
Thankfully the pivots worked and when I hit a record profit month in April, I reset that goal to end of September to coincide with my birthday.
But, alas, it happened much sooner than I expected and now that debt is gone, gone, gone. Such a relief!
Now, I'm not debt free. I still have the rest of the mortgage on my home (16 years left), but I consider that good debt and I know it will be naturally paid down over time and gets me some nice tax deductions.
I'll probably speed that along the way though. But, I'll be putting the majority of the extra profit (for now) towards my retirement plan as I got off track for that (and can't make up the time...but I can make it up somewhat with some extra contributions. My CPA is setting up everything for me by Aug 1st
I am glad that I can now spend some extra money, but since I'm immunocompromised, I have to be a bit patient for that until next year (as I can't have people come here (to fix up my home nor go on vacation or anything. I'm ordering some Godiva chocolate instead to celebrate short term (since I can't go out for dinner).
As I said, it's such a relief.
I posted sent something about this to my email list yesterday and I think I got 100 super nice responses. And, now that I have the official note from Chase, I posted it in a private FB blogging group and I already have over 600 reactions and 160 comments, and that completely floored me!
I may just take the rest of the day off...and place my Godiva order.
