Hello Jan - it looks as if your upcoming class will be beneficial if the answers to the questions you summarized are explored with information and discussion.  Good luck.

LOL, Endre Barath, Jr. she has your best interests, err pocketbook, in mind!  Definitely replace that filter. Make sure it's not too high of a MERV to restrict air flow or raise the static pressure on your AC as that raises electric bills!  Inquiring minds!

Endre Barath, Jr. sorry buddy, didn't see your comment because I'm not receiving notificatons of comments!  Your comment is two-fold.  Hi merv filters are going to filter the  inside air so the odds of him battle covid this way are non-existent.  If it were in a public building that would all depend on the systems operating high merv filters.  There are more studies going on in public buildings about indoor air quality than ever before, but since not a lot of us are in public buildings, we aren't in dire need yet.  I'm betting that as we go forward, more, larger companies and bigger buildings will employ the best technology for indoor air quality than ever before.  It's in their best interests!  Have a great day!
