Whenever we go to lunch at Corazon in Santa Barbara's public market, we stop to look at the various succulents that surround the building. Pictured above is a couple that we have watched grow in the last five years. In another five years or less they will double in size. Their leaves are tough and leathery to the touch. Happy Wednesday!
In the last few years, I have become increasingly enamored with succulents. The one pictured is very interesting.

Good morning Ron and Alexandra Seigel - that is interesting. It does not look at all the the other succulents.

I am guessing that my local deer might leave those alone if they are tough and leathery, they eat everything else. Love the form and shape.

Myrl Jeffcoat I think the drought was the cause our interest in succulents. Here in Santa Barbara, there are so many large ones especially around the Mission. They may be native (I think, not sure). A
John Pusa I lived in Los Angeles many years, and there are plenty there. I am certain the Huntington Gardens have a great collection. A

Grant Schneider it is Mother Nature's way to keep us on our toes and surprise us at every turn. A
Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 I think that that would be an accurate assessment of this plant. I do not think the deer are interested in succulents. A
