One look at the Highlands Ranch Community Association calendar and you will see a host of summer events that have been canceled for months now. As society gradually re-opens, events begin to become available. There are a majority of them that will stay canceled, as their very nature is not conducive to large crowds and people packed in together. Any events that can adapt to social distancing measures or can be distributed online will be done. We would like to resume the Highlands Ranch property management local events watch and bring attention to any events that those who deem their own personal risk to be low would like to attend.

The first has been a staple of every summer, the Farmer’s Market. Luckily, as an outdoor event, in a wide-open space with everyone wearing masks, this can operate in its original capacity. Hopefully, the fact that Highlands Ranch is now seeing 90-degree days, that could help as well. The Farmer’s Market is every Sunday from 10:00am to 2:00pm in Town Center South. The full vendor list can be found online at the event page on HRCA.org. The list is slightly smaller than previous years, but there are still some great vendors there that should be checked out and supported during this time. Some of the notable attendees are Abracadabra Botanicals, LLC, Ant D’s Fine Foods, Nook’s Cranny, The Able Sisters Sausage Express, Juice Plus and many more.

The Farmer’s Market is requesting all patrons follow the only 4 rules they have set out. #1 masks will be mandatory, so please remember to bring your face coverings. If you do not have at least one mask for trips to the store by now, there are plenty of available options online. The second rule is to practice social distancing whenever possible. This is especially targeted towards standing in line and keeping your space from those in front of you in line. Rule 3 is to get your produce, which is usually the mission when you attend a Farmer’s Market. The final and 4th rule is no social gatherings, get your stuff and your food, and make your way out. Having been to one recently, it is safe to say that everyone is taking this seriously, so the risk of transmission should be lower. The unwritten rule is of course to stay home if you are feeling sick. But most everyone knows that by now. If you are looking for Farmer’s Market local food, look no further than the Town Center every Sunday until October.
