YouTube Thursdays - New Year's Eve 2020
We've always liked the song, "What are you doing New Year's Eve?" It's been running through my (Debb) head all morning. Like most of 2020, this year's celebrations will likely be quite different.
This is philosophical time of year under normal circumstances, and if my early communication from friends and family today is any indicator, New Year's Eve 2020 has made us even more thoughtful.
Nonetheless, being present and finding the joy in moments was, in our opinion, the finest tool of 2020. Breathing in appreciation and counting our blessings has become second nature. It's the best way to get from surviving to thriving.
Mom is treating the family to take-out Chinese food tonight. It's an unofficial family tradition to eat take-out and watch funny movies. We'll have to see what we find on Netflix.
Chances are, the only way we'll be up at midnight is if neighbors shoot off fireworks. Speaking of fireworks, here is a live stream of New Year's Eve 2020 celebrations from around the world.
As the New Year looms, our hearts are filled with the hope of better times on the horizon. Especially for those who have lost their businesses, jobs, family members, and/or friends.
It is also our great hope that the division in our country will lessen and eventually heal. We are always better together.
Goodbye to 2020, hello 2021. We wish you joy and abundance in the New Year.
