Never Use a Generator Inside a Home or Garage

Carbon monoxide exposure can be fatal in minutes. Never use a generator in an attached garage, even with the door open. If you need to refuel a generator, wait until it has cooled down. Only use heavy-duty outdoor-rated cords when plugging into appliances.

Never had a generator. Out in the country a number of folks have propane ones .

An important PSA, Roy. Fortunately, as we don't have a generator, I'm not overly concerned in my own case. But lots of people do have them and don't know the proper way to install them.

This seems like common sense but is definitely something everyone should know and use properly to stay safe.
