Never Use a Generator Inside a Home or Garage

Carbon monoxide exposure can be fatal in minutes. Never use a generator in an attached garage, even with the door open. If you need to refuel a generator, wait until it has cooled down. Only use heavy-duty outdoor-rated cords when plugging into appliances.

This is a Montgomery County, Maryland announcement.

Good morning, Roy Kelley very important warning for those who think the ventilation in a garage is sufficient.... it's not and many deaths have resulted...

An important PSA, Roy. Fortunately, as we don't have a generator, I'm not overly concerned in my own case. But lots of people do have them and don't know the proper way to install them.

This seems like common sense but is definitely something everyone should know and use properly to stay safe.

Good morning Roy. Important info for those living on Florida where generators are very popular and often used in hurricane season. Enjoy your day.

This is an extremely important message Roy to get the word out. We have one, and know that it must be outside the home!

Roy, we don't have many power outages, so rarely see a generator, thankfully.

Hello Roy,  I see some people that have generator in their garage and ask them if they pull them out in the open.

This is good information to share, Roy!  We don't see much generator use in my neighborhood, but in our foothills, and other more rural parts of California, we do.

Great advice Roy Kelley and maybe one day we won't even have to have generators because we have betteries storing our power from solar and other sources.
