January's inventory of homes for sale was a bit lower than the 5-year average with no months inventory on the market. The number of new listings entering the market in January was above the 5-year average. The uncertaintly around the pandemic may be part of the reason.

The Days on Market in January 2021 at 13 days, was not as fast as the 5-year January average of 3 days. It also appears that sellers were pricing their homes competitively and the buyers drove the prices up this January as compared to the 5-year average for the month.
