New listing for sale in Nahiku Maui - it's a jungle out there!
No really, it's 3 acres of solid jungle in the middle of almost nowhere, near Hana Maui. It's also a difficult property to sell due to the terrain, which is steep in places, and low in others, so there is a tendency for flooding in heavy rains.
Nahiku Maui is one of the wetter places on the island, and that explains the lush growth of trees such as mango and kukui. These act as a windbreak even though this is the windward side of the island, meaning there will be a lot of mosquitoes all year round. I'm not trying to kill a deal, but want any buyers from off-island to understand this location is very unique. It will appeal to a limited set of buyers who want to be in a remote but beautiful location just minutes from the ocean. This is a very sustainable spot, but it will require a big investment in time and money to make the land ready for building.
