I prefer point of view from simpler times. Remember those days...difference of opinion was just that...a difference. It is sad what it has evolved into.

HI Michael wouldn't it be great if the good ole days of agreeing to disagree, peacefully, came back into style.

i know two people that couldn't be much more different on the political spectrum, but if I created a Venn diagram, I know they both LOVE their dogs.  There is overlap as long as we choose to allow ourselves to see it.  Bill

Happy Thursday, Michael! What I love ARE differing opinions but, a civil discussion is far more likely to persuade someone to agree with you than one filled with bitterness & vitriol. 

I remember an older member here who was very out-spoken - always right, never wrong (in her mind). I watched her shred people - for no reason, simply because they didn't agree with her viewpoint. I finally spoke up to her once to ask if we (meaning HER) could have civil discussions here in the Rain. She responded that she was on the debate team when she was in school and she KNOWS how to debate!! I wondered how many inches her nose grew after that comment! 🤪   

I see what you're saying and I've seen the opposite situation as we. Hang in there
