Would Anyone Like to Join Me for the West Coast Green Expo in Sept?

I am embarrased to say I have been a very pale green lately. yet on the other hand, I am painting with no VOC paint so I see a pattern in myself, a learning curve if you will, where I embody the new green techniques then want to learn more. I am at the more part. I very much want to go the the green event below and am looking for some of my AR friends who would like to join me.

Wish I could Sheron. I'll be in Orange, California in December though. Shell has the details of when. I don't know how far Selma is from there, but it would be awesome to meet you!

Boy - I would love to go to that - however, I think the airfares are a bit more than what I can afford -- I will look foward to your blogs when you get there.

Glad to read that you are now using Low VOC paints...and wondering...do you, yourself< notice a difference ?...

Sabrina - I will have a watchful eye out for the stagers!

janeAnne - I am using NO VOC paint from my local home depot and the quality is stellar and absolutely no trace of paint odor! Wonderful. I will be posting my before and after real soon.

I just entered their contest to name this house made of shipping containers.

"Why Shipping Containers? With America exporting so little, shipping companies are looking for new ways to use the 8,000-pound containers because they are increasingly too expensive to ship back to their point of origin. The abundant containers are extremely inexpensive, ranging from $500 to $2,000, and are therefore an invaluable material for building affordable hurricane resistant housing."

I named it the Echo house because it echo's mother earth's plea for kind and careful living. Here is a link for you if you would like to name this house. You have until August 18th.

Hi Sandra - seems to me they just had something like this in San Diego but I won't swear by it. They do travel.

I am working on shipping containers too... working with a group in Fl to make it a green housing project.

Hi BFF, that is awesome! I too wish I could afford the air fare. I just checked fares to Fayettville NC for Thanksgiving because my grandson is being shipped out for the third time to Iraq, just gotta love the backdoor draft, and it was over $1000. Its only 500 miles from here. Have a blast, say hi to Al for me. He and I were best buds in 96 when I drove in his motorcade :-) I'm totally sure he'll remember me! Love the cargo container idea. I'd put one in the back yard and retro fit it to be used during a hurricane, but I'm sure the state of Florida will have none of that! Thanks for the info. BFF

Terry - the farther you fly, the cheaper it is...go into Oakland from Orlando...Al would love to see you ;-)
