Second day WOW

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Premier Partners

I am so delighted with the warm and welcoming comments after my first blog.  What a hoot!  Today, Todd Clark (the big blogger) shared much helpful information about blogging and getting started at Active Rain with several other KW agents and then even invited others to come check out our blogs.  What a guy!

In a later, but related conversation, one of the blog newbies (Jeff Kreinbring) observed that a person should probably time block their blog time - he thinking that otherwise a person might spend too much time there, and me suggesting that after the novelty wears off, you'll need the reminder that you need to blog.  So - what do you do? Blog as it strikes you? Time block (ha! time blog!!!). Does consistency matter?  Why are you blogging?

Last night I mentioned my walking goal - 10K of steps at least 4 days a week - and how tired the golf game made me.  Today I've logged just 6500 steps and I'm too pooped to pop! Anyways, I've had a desire to blog about my transition in walking habits and I want to sell real estate to people who care about having walkable communities and so this seems like the right tool at the right time to put it all together. That's part of the why I'm blogging.

Now, if I'm going to go visit some of the interesting people who visited my blog, I'll be ending this one.  So far, so fun!  I'm thinking this is going to be a whole new part of my lifestyle. (is that putting too much into it?)

Congratulations on your great start here at AR. I've just re-started a walking program myself. Time blocking to blog does work. Sometimes I'll write the blog at night and then post in the morning when there is more traffic. AR can be quite addictive and time consuming. There are so many great people here to communicate with.

Keep having fun with it.

Lynn,

I do see a lot of people spend way too much time on Activerain and it can be addictive for sure. I do time block and set a side 30 minutes in the moring and 30 minutes in the evening for actually Activerain time.

Now, you know I spend more time than that blogging, but I do it with my flex time while driving and other things. I could see you writing blogs on a voice recorder while you are walking and I think it would be pretty cool to see what you come up with while walking!

Hey Lynn,

I to attempt to log in 10,000 steps a day, a 1/2 hour walk is all it takes to push me over the top.

Take care!
