Try as you might, I'm sure you weren't able to avoid seeing the fact that Jeff Bezos sent Captain James Tiberias Kirk (William Shatner, in a different life) up into space.

It was highlighted on just about every news format (broadcast news, online news, text, email, voicemail, Faceplant, pony express and roaming donkey) from here to kingdom come every few minutes.

Those of you who are not Trekkies, as I am, will not understand the reference in the photo, but many of you will. And I've gotta tell you... that's funny right thar!

Alan May Alan, I loved it! Go, Captain Kirk! Kathy Streib I watched the whole thing, too, and cried. I am a huge Trekkie, watched them all dozens of time, and all the series, too, and even in Italian!!
