Monday Musing & Inspiration: Wondrous Twisted Moments!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

Our title, Twisted Wondrous Twisted Moments is another way to describe the word "serendipity".  Here is the dictionary's definition: the faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident, and a talent for  making fortunate discoveries while searching for other things,

In our experience, these discoveries are not accidental.  They are a result of being in harmony with one's environment, and one's positive outlook on life!  A therein lies the talent of being in harmony with twisted wondrous moments.

What people call serendipity sometimes is just having your eyes open.

~Jose Manuel Barroso

I chose this quote, because for this has been true for us.  It emphasizes the power of being in the now once again.  I took this photo Saturday morning as we were driving to have breakfast with out friend.

"For me, serendipity, coincidence and chance are more interesting than any preconceived construct of our human encounters."

~Charles Traub

On an educational cruise in the Mediterranean Sea, we had an impulse to go out on the deck for our break while at port.   Dolphins at play were frolicking, and minutes later a double rainbow appeared.  We loved that moment!

Another aspect of twisted wondrous moments we have noticed is that they usually happen with great regularity when we are in a good mood and appreciative of all that is.

Having brunch earlier this month at our favorite place, we noticed that a gentleman was perusing the wine list, while waiting for his party.  He finally ordered a bottle of Dom Pérignon for his party. I smiled and said, "Good Choice!"

I mentioned that we had worked with Dom on behalf of one of our clients, and enjoyed the Champagne.  He told us that he did not drink, and instructed the waiter to have us taste the Champagne, and pour us two glasses.

And so we did, but insisted only on one glass to share.  As his party arrived, we met everyone, and had many things in common and exchanged phone numbers.

On Active Rain, in one of my posts years ago, I mentioned the Tolstoy foundation.  I was referring to the place we had first stayed at, when we emigrated to the United States.

Nina Hollander, Broker read my post.  She knew exactly what I was referring to.  This led to a friendship and a wonderful conversation.  One of these days, we will visit her in Charlotte.  What are the chances that one of the many members would see this post and know exactly what I was referring to?

Wondrous Twisted Moments big and small are there for all of us, and we have found that the more we focus on them, the more they come our way.

What are some that happened to you?

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS I can imagine Boomer's face!  Animals have such a fresh view, and I marveled how our cats would sniff the air before actually making it out the door.  Every day was a new day for them.  Now I take a moment and smell the air...A

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® Every day in some way, things go occur like that.  Talking to my nephew, he was telling us about Circuit City, and yesterday Ron and I were trying to remember their brand name and their logo, which we did.  It makes us realize more and more how everything it at our fingertips if we practice being in the now.  A.

Endre Barath, Jr. I am not surprised that you like the Dom story.  We worked with the brand manager of Dom for a web site, along with other French brands, and are beginning to add new names to the site.  We recently tried their newest top of the line called Plenitude.  It was amazing.  A

Kat Palmiotti both thoughts you shared made me sense.  And the way I see it is that at the moment you saw them your perception and focus to pick path was honed with their aura (so to speak) and the sighting happened.  I see it as a form of communication.  I love dolphins, and they often appear for me.  A

Michael Jacobs new and old one will come your way, we are so tuned in to them.  Our friend with who we had breakfast on Christmas morning, was at LAX and called his friend in Colorado to touch base.  As he was walking towards his gate holding his phone, he passed his friend who was at that moment talking to him while at LAX also.  How wondrous is that?  A
