As week 6 comes to a close and we are in the final run, it is just hitting me, how much blood, sweat and tears we have ALL put into this competition. We have each taken turns being winners and not winning. (I refuse to say losers, as there are no losers here, from day ONE!) We are on day 2 of our FINAL challenge and I'm sure as the week progresses, there will be several hairs pulled and lots of nail biting. Very little sleep! Did I mention an overdose of caffeine?
We ARE the lucky ones, for being a part of this challenge Many of us have had life situations that have been plopped in our laps and had to continue on. Happily, continuing on. We knew we could not DARE hit the snooze button.
What we have all learned is this: If you want something badly enough, you will stop at nothing, and let nothing stand in your way. I think this is true in life. If we truly believe in ourselves, we CAN do it, and WILL do it. Our commitment will get us where we want to be, and believing in ourselves.
Makeover2Takeover has been like a triathlon, of sorts. At each turn, we had a different challenge. Just when you think you can't go one more week, something happens that pulls us up and reminds you of your goal. A competitor friend calls to lift you up. Like a much needed drink of water, during that last mile of a marathon. If we didn't keep driving, we would miss our exit.
There are THREE things I know for sure. Whether we were lucky enough to move on, or it was our time to go, we gave it our all. We ARE all winners, from day ONE! We are all friends, NOT competitors. I have formed deep friendships, because of the competition.
I think I can speak for the others when I say how much this has "Madeover" the way we will now do business. The Active Rain team had a brilliant thought when they started this competition. Brilliant. From all of us, to all of you, Thank you for your support! We needed it and we got it. Would AR members behave any other way? I don't think so. We are a family, of sorts.
