Obituary

Joseph Lewis Petrowsky 75, of Eastford, CT passed away unexpectedly, November 18, 2022 with Gail, his best friend and wife, by his side. Born in Freising Germany in a DP camp just after the war, he was the son of the late, Abraham and Regina Lipshitz Piotrkowski. Joe met the love of his life and best friend at the age of 17. They married in 1970 and raised two beautiful and wonderful daughters; their life of love together was nothing short of magic. The magic ended much too soon.

Papa Joe was adored by his grand kids. All that knew him knew of the endless joy his family brought him. To Joe, family was everything and he often said that he wanted for nothing. After over twenty years of operating Petrowsky Real Estate Company with his wife Gail, Joe went on to start Right Trac Financial Group, Inc. While many firms do home loans with strict parameters, Joe was only interested in loans no one else would do. He embraced the challenges and obstacles people had to home ownership, proud to help the dream of home ownership come true for so many. Those who worked with him at Right Trac were as close to him as family. His heart burst with joy this past summer when his youngest daughter joined him as a loan officer.

Promoting his business was also a joy and a favorite past time. As with everything he did that too was about helping people. His blogs, often helpful, jokes sometimes corny but always worth a read. This was not just advertising or an outlet, but another way to help. So too was his active membership in BNI.

He was so proud of Gail’s work with self help seminars, Wellness Options Seminars, that he never missed one. He loved watching the impact Gail had in her workshops and the transformation in peoples lives.

Joe was most selfless with his time, the number of people that count him as not just a friend but an advisor are too many to count. A trusted Rabbi of business to so very many. Along with his parents Joe was preceded in death by parents in law, Bernie and Gloria Cantor; and his brother in law Gary Cantor; sister in law Gail Judith Piotrkowski. He is survived by his beshert Gail Cantor Petrowsky; daughter Dava and her husband Brett and their son Dylan, daughter Jill and her two children Jacoby and Zoey; brothers Nathan and his wife Anne and Sammy, and many many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Temple Bnai Israel, 345 Jackson St., Willimantic, CT on Monday, November 21st 2022 at 10:30AM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. To leave a memory or message of condolence, please visit www.blumensteinfuneralhome.com .
