Sometimes "Realtor Speak" is a foreign language.
A client, or potential client, is most often NOT impressed when we speak REALTOR as it is a foreign language to them. They want you to explain in their terms (terms they understand). If you don't they will nod their heads as if they understand and then they will go find a Realtor they CAN communicate with.
The following clip is the funniest job interview skit I ever remembered and I remember it from back many, many years ago on the Tracy Ullman Show. It is 2 minutes but I think you will find it hilarious.
When we meet a client for the 1st time it is a job interview. While this "potential" hire is not talking gibberish it's fun to watch.
