I've never been shy about dancing in the rain whether it is a spring shower or a successful closing from Active Rain. Last night after an early evening closing I took a few minutes to reflect on the end of July and how had blogging added to my bottom line.
If you think the bottom line is all about money it isn't. At least to me it isn't. Don't get me wrong money is required to be able to pay the bills and plan for retirement but it isn't the only benefit we can get from blogging. I've met some great new people and learned some incredible things. Active Rain connections have opened my eyes to new ways of doing business, better ways to communicate with my clients and brought new friends in my community.
There are always going to be naysayers about the value of blogging in real estate and say that it is just a phase. For the agents who are sitting on the sidelines you might want to consider if you are happy with your bottom line.
Do you see your business stagnating and wonder how to give it a kick start?
Are you looking for new ways to attract buyers or sellers without spending a fortune on advertising?
Would you like the opportunity to look at your community with a new perspective?
Looking for new ways to meet other professionals in your area?
And would you like the opportunity to add a few dollars to your bank account?
This month I had seven closings and I'm going to give Active Rain credit for three of those. Do the math that is almost 50% of my closing this month came from an initial contact from a prospect who found me through blogging. Behind the scenes I also made two new professional contacts and had two press quotes about the local foreclosure market.
Life is good on Active Rain and I'm happily splashing in the puddles. Come play with me. I'll share my puddle with you!
