We just got this off of Inman news:
Coldwell Banker released the result of a survey they did of over 150 brokers and affordability was the prime concern of first time homebuyers-why they didn't ask buyers instead of brokers is beyond me.
So here are the results (condensed)
•· 81% of first-time buyers thought buying a home in move-in condition was important
•· 41% percent reported being close to work was a top attribute
•· 35% said investment was their top reason for buying a home
Let me get this right. Buyers want to be able to afford a home, buy one that is in good condition, while less than half feel being close to work and being a good investment is their top reason to buy a home.
Illuminating.
