After my last blog post 2008 Tri City Parade of Homes, I've received quite a few inquiries, both by phone and email, for further information on this event.
I just spoke with Cindy at the Home Builders Association of Tri Cities - who incidentally was very pleasant and full of information- and she let me know the tickets would be $7 each and, like always, the Tour Guidebook would be included with your ticket price. I'm trying to get my mitts on a few guides in advance for those of you who've contacted me after the first blog so I can send them to you, but they won't be available until the end of August. If you'd like to get one, just contact me and I'll add you to the list.
Also, look for a special insert on the Parad of Homes in the Tri City Herald that will be coming out in their September 4th edition. You might even be able to get them to send you one in advance if you call ahead of time.
And, if you're coming from outside the area, visit the Tri Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau website. There's a great link there of area events and attractions and they'll even send you a free visitors guide. My motto is "If it's free, it's me!"
As I said in the previous blog, this was a highly anticipated event for my mom and I. This will be the first year after her passing after a valiant fight against breast cancer, and I'm trying to figure out who I can take that will be as much fun as it was with mom all those years.
As I said earlier, this year's show is Saturday and Sunday, September 6 & 7th from 9am-5pm, Wednesday, Sept 10, 1-7 pm and Saturday and Sunday, Sept 13 & 14, 9 am to 5 pm. Cindy said the local Sun Mart gas and slurp's are the best source for the tickets and guidebooks.
