Where are you going?

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Pareto Realty TN #251071

How many times in your life have you really thought about your VISION?

I know that you work every day. You certainly are doing a great honing your skills and Lead Generating and servicing clients. I also know that you likely take great pride in your professionalism and ability to help people with "Problems" related to Real Estate. For sure, our business can be quite satisfying.

But don't we (you) deserve MORE than simple satisfaction? Whether you are a top producer or occasional home seller, how FULFILLED are you? Do you wake up each morning excited about the possibilities the day has in store for you? Do you end each day with GRATITUDE for the wonderful happenings of the day?

My sense is that those folks who are "satisfied" but not FULFILLED may have stumbled into a haze and lost sight of their vision - Where are you going? Why are you doing what you do? What is it that energizes you? (I'm NOT talking about espresso or energy drinks).

What's your quintessential drug? If your "way of life" were perfect, what would it look like and how would you feel? Who would be there with you?

One thing I KNOW . . . When your vision is CLEAR (and not someone else's) and you are committed to "getting there" things often begin manifesting right before your very eyes . . . The "Right People" begin showing up and the right things begin happening . . .  But none of that will happen until the vision is clear and authentic and your creativity and Spirit are awakened by your pure intention.

None of this happens easily (effortlessly) until you "GET REAL" (A La Gary Keller's SHIFT - Tactic #1 of 12) . . . and getting real on a personal level begins with declaring your long range VISION (Identifying your BIG ROCKS - Your BIG WHY) . . . and then doing some tough introspection and being honest with yourself as to where you are now. Only then can you see yourself through the haze.

Enough rambling for today.

Best,

b

So true, only if everyone including myself, can act upon a clear vison even when life becomes intense.

Well said. I find myself occasionally losing sight of my long-term goals. Not forgetting about them, but having them almost put on the backburner.

'I WILL get those mailers out, I WILL go to the next builder funtion, I WILL implement that new sales strategy.... but right now I've just got to make sure that the Smith file gets the CTC, or that Jones will qualify FHA, and I'd better e-mail that underwriter regarding that mixed-use deal again.'

So, I wind up in a 'put out the fires mode.'

This is OK to a point, of course, but its important to review your goals and keep your eyes on the prize, as opposed to just jumping from one issue to the next.
