In January of this year I purchased a new Tablet PC ( to replace a 4 year old one) from Motion Computing. A remarkable product I must say. I love it but I will save why I like it so much for another post. I needed some work done to transfer data from the old one and set it up and I was referred to a terrific company , IstComputing here in San Diego. He does a remote set-up and by using his wizard technology, moves things from one computer to another. I was amazed and in the process he also acquainted me with some useful new tools that helps to protect it and keep it running really smooth. Needless to say I am so impressed with his service and the way he handles his business, I have referred him several time already. One cool thing was to set up the Tablet PC as one screen and set up my larger desktop monitor with a different screen and I can do different things at the same time with out toggling. So cool and it increases my productivity of multitasking. If you need some help, I understand he can work anywhere and keep your engine running smooth. I would be pleased to recommend him.
Hi Kathy, I would be delighted to share the information. The Company is Integrated System Technology IST The principle is George Volakakis. His number is 858-536-1115.
He will set up a Remote Help Desk Top System on your computer and then be able to resolve what ever issues you need.
George will make a number of mostly free recommendations that will help you keep the system running smoothly. All the best, I think you will really like them, George is a brilliant technician.
William,
It's two years later, and I have to know: do you still have the Tablet? Are you thinking I-Pad?
Mike in Tucson
Hi Mike, I switched over to the Mac early last year but I have the Tablet just for a back-up when I travel. Too slow, no space left on the drive ( came with only 60 Gigs. And yes, I am looking forward to getting an iPad. But I learned my lesson with the iphone and I will wait for the 2nd version introduction. I expect they will fix a lot of things that are missing in the first version. But yes, that is the direction I intend.
