4. Take a horse-drawn carriage ride: Southern Breezes has the largest fleet of horse-drawn vehicles in North Carolina. Their horses are gorgeous and well cared-for, pastured daily and impecably clean! Take a ride through Charlotte Uptown's Fourth Ward and take yourself back in time...

5. Why not learn to KAYAK at the Whitewater Rafting Center!?: This fall is the perfect time to enroll in their whitewater kayaking program or just go for the day and try it out! The USNWC is now offering a teen whitewater program (ages 12-16); an 8-week course of instruction to work from fundamentals to slalom, freestyle and creeking comfortably on your own. Even if you don't go kayaking, you can enjoy the food and just take-in the gorgeous grounds and watch others try the course!
