The Votes Are In: Arizona City To Have Street Delivery!

The Votes are in and the the US Postal Service has announced residents of Arizona City will receive home mail delivery!

Last Monday all votes for Arizona City street delivery of USPS mail were tallied and the votes for home delivery won 961 to 714.  You can view my previous post on the vote HERE.  From here the postal service will begin making changes necessary to start street delivery, which includes determining delivery routes.

The post office will send details to area residents in a letter including transition information and instructions for installing mailboxes.  The Arizona City Postal Committee will assist in the installation of mailboxes for those residents requiring assistance.

I am among those that voted yes to the change and look forward to news of when and how the change will be implemented.  I am sure when the transition starts it will make things a bit confusing, but I am confident this change will be a huge positive impact for the community.

Beth- That is one way of looking at it!  I am excited...going to the post office everyday is such a pain and then they lose mail all of the time.  My husband usually gets our mail everyday, but it is still annoying.  GBU!

Chastity - I didn't realize there were still parts of the country where there wasn't home delivery of the mail and yet the costs we have to pay to USPS keep increasing.  Having to go to the post office each day must be a real bummer for you and your husband.  I'm so happy to hear you community united and voted this in!

Donna - I have been in AZ City for 6 1/2 years dealing with it.  It is a major annoyance so I'm excited!

I have heard that A/C did not win mail delivery.  Someone at the post office said the paper lied.  So who do you bekieve?
