HALLOWEEN TRIVIA QUESTION

HAPPY HALLOWEEEEENNNN

Does anyone else find this happening to them. You blink, and a week has gone by? Well, that happened to me last week. The weekly Tuesday Trivia never happened... before I knew it, it was Friday (my computer got a virus) and the week was gone. So, I apologize for not having the weekly trivia last Tuesday. With this, I am doing one today, Monday, a day earlier... this time, the answer is NOT a year. Hmm are you curious???

Since it is the week of Halloween, this is what the trivia question deals with.

What Halloween candy was first given out in 1941, and was created during the Spanish Civil War?

Ok I have not a clue what the answer is but now you have peaked my interest!

Val, I'll give you two wild guesses candied Apples, or candied corn, I'm thinking that this may have been done to preserve fruit for travel?.. Steve

I guess I would have to say M&M's... guess it is my favorite so that is what I would choose.

popcorn balls, is my answer as I don't the M&M Mars had a corner on the candy market yet. LOL

Candy Corn sounds right to me. I'm sure I could google it, but I'll wait for you to reveal the answer on Halloween. Sometimes NOT having instant information can be a little more fun...

My guess is popcorn balls, apples, candied apples, or even suckers.

how bout candy corn? My initial thought was popcorn balls..but is that really candy? hmmm.? - now I'm torn, lol.

Valerie you have me on this one, but if was to choose between the four choices I would go with candy corn.

I'm going to guess rock candy, but my second choice would be apples (not candied).

I started to say "candy corn", but I think it was M&M's.

hmmm i would have guessed the taffy!

Pretty sure it is M&Ms! But the candy corn makes you want to say that because it is so Halloweenish. But I say M&M's.

we had the M&M / Mars factory in the town next door to us back in Jersey (Hackettstown)! (if the wind was blowing right you could smell the peanuts roasting - and even the chocolate!)

I'm sticking with candy corn! see you Friday :)

Benjamin.. You can look at that in two different ways. You blink and a month has gone by... means time has a way of flying by. Or you missed a month and forgot to pay your mortgage.

Benjamin. I agree with you. Not having instant gratification can also be rewarding at times. Like in this case. I like your answer of candy corn... and we'll see if you are right on Friday.

Laura.... Thanks. I'm glad my computer is up and running again. But now that my son and I share the computer it seems to work VERY slow. I know this computer is 4 years old, but why is it running so slow? Another thing I need to check into.

Nancy.. Chocolate? What kind of chocolate? White, brown.. hhmmm. Did you know that chocolate ice cream was made in error? I found that interesting when I was Googling something a while ago. OK.. enough trivia. We'll see if your answer of chocolate is right on Friday.

Steve... LOL. What happened to patient??? If I stuck to the usual schedule, I would have done my weekly trivia on Tuesday, like I try to do. But it always seemed that someone didn't have enough time, or was busy with work. (Yes, I'm jealous on that one). So I thought I would do it a day earlier. So, if I waited until Tuesday, that would mean tomorrow would be Friday. But NOT!!! A little over 36 hours to go.

I immediately thought of candy corn, but after reading the choices ... I'd go with melts in your mouth, not in your hands ... probably good if you're trying to fight a war and eat candy at the same time :) M & M

Val-Try emptying your temporary internet files. I don't know if that will do it or not, but I know that it can slow your computer down.

Teresa.. I'm sorry you missed this one. I actually had you in mind when I made it for almost a week... thinking this would give you enough of a chance to respond. Just remember, these come out on Tuesdays.. usually.

My sons each came home with about (no lie) 12 pounds of candy. I guess when you live in a condo complex that has 524 units, it is easy pickings.

Valerie - Too bad I missed with candy corn. But I won't miss my mortgage payment. My wife makes sure of that!

My kids brought in about 6 pounds each. We had to confiscate it because there was just too much. I know. I'm a bad dad. They'll get it all, but a little each day.

Benjamin.. My sons went a little crazy too. I actually weight the bags they came home with... they were roughly 12/13 pounds each.. INSANE!!! They are now set until Easter.
