Hi guys, as I mentioned in my post introducing Rain Blog Themes, here are the next 2 themes in a new series of graphics designed to fit perfectly into an Active Rain blog. I'm doing this to help out anyone who wants to spice up the look of their AR blog in the easiest way possible.
Each Rain blog theme comes with high quality, fast loading graphics and suggestions on how to color co-ordinate the graphics into an Active Rain blog.
theme preview
The graphic above is a preview of the RE/MAX Rain blog theme. The graphics for this theme include...
- the blog header
- the background image tile
- the post divider
- and the navigation menu colors
If you'd like to use this theme on your Active Rain blog, all you have to do is download the graphics to your computer's hard drive and then upload them into your AR blog customizer panel.
Here is a look at the graphics that come with this theme...
a preview of the blog header
The blog header is 950 pixels wide X 115 pixels high so it fits perfectly into the header space, no need to re-size anything. just add your own text like I did in the theme preview image.
the background image tile
This is the background image tile for the RE/MAX theme. Like all the other graphics it's optimized for size and speed, it loads fast and won't slow down your blog!
the post divider
And since my post dividers seem to be a hot commodity, I've also included on of those as well to complete the RE/MAX look.
instructions/suggestions
If you don't have the time or patience to fool around trying to get the navigation menu to match your blog header or background, here are the color settings I used for the theme preview...
- menu background FFFFFF
- page background FFFFFF
- header background FFFFFF
- menu text 000000
You can download all the images for the RE/MAX Rain blog theme here
theme preview
Note: I previewed the graphic components of this theme in my post introducing Rain blog themes
instructions/suggestions
And here are the color settings I used for the Keller Williams theme preview...
- menu background ECDADA
- page background FFFFFF
- header background CDA299
- menu text 000000
You can download all the images for the Keller Williams Rain blog theme here
Thanks to a comment by Kathy McGraw (she keeps me on my toes), I shouldn't assume everyone has read the earlier tutorials on how to add text to blog headers.
If you don't have your own graphics software, check out Picnik.com for a free & simple way to add text to images. Thx for the reminder Kathy!
In addition to the blog themes I'm doing for the community to use here on Active Rain, I'm also working on similar ideas & graphics that you'll be able to use on blogs such as Wordpress.
There's a lot more info and goodies in the works that I'll announce here in my Rain blog very soon!
If you have ideas, suggestion or requests for blog themes you'd like to see, let me know either in your comments and/or by email and I'll seriously consider each and ever one of them.
I realize that this isn't the same as having a totally customized, pimped out blog but hey, it's free! ;-)
If you're time challenged like me and there aren't enough hours in a day to sort through the mountains of info being posted here in the Rain or out on the web, here are some of my favorite reads from the past few days...
