John and Tammy Arcori host an annual Halloween party for all of the neighborhood in the Clear Creek Subdivision of Rochester Hills. They rent a popcorn machine, a cotton candy machine and pour carmel over wedges of apples--the most popular from the video below. They also make their own candied apples and hand wrap them before the party. Of course, Halloween wouldn't be complete without donuts and cider (both hot and cold). The only thing missing is the inflatable play station for the kids to jump and the tent they usually put up -- the wind was too high to make them safe. After the fire truck comes and the everyone follows it for a parade around the neighborhood, they host a huge dinner for family and friends - with a record turn out of around 200. They also collect can goods for Gleaner's Food Bank.

Clear Creek Subdivision is just off Tenkein and right next to the new Stoney Creek High School. It is clearly a family neighborhood with beautiful newer homes, sidewalks, street lights and very near the Paint Creek Trail. Rochester Hills is a community geared to creating great community events that attract people from other cities including the upcoming "city of lights" where all the stores in the Rochester decorate the front of the stores. There are also many events hosted by the city and the Village of Rochester Hills.
