Reblogger Jeff Dowler, CRS

I am participating in the on-going webinar with Kein Boer and Pat Kitano at Domus Consulting Group on Social Media Marketing and wanted to share this inofrmation for everyone who might have an interest. A new session is just starting and YOU can get involved too.

So join in - the cost is low, the information is terrific, and you have a chance to learn from two of the best and brightest in the social media arena. Social media is a place where we all need to play.

While many Active Rainer's were off partying participating in NAR's 2008 Orlando convention, Pat Kitano and I were putting the finishing touches on our next Social Media Marketing webinar series, which started this morning (Monday, November 10, 2008).

For late registrants, and for those who missed the first session, we're offering make-up sessions later this week:

  • Thursday, November 13, 2008, at 10:30am Pacific time
  • Friday, November 14, 2008, at 10:30am Pacific time

Take a look at Brad Andersohn's article (and the comments) about our first series.

Also look here at the live "Twitter Stream" of questions, comments, and testimonials.

What's it about?  Read on...

Everybody's talking about social media, Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, and a dozen other cool online tools to extend your marketing.  How do you use these tools to generate contacts, listings, closed transactions, and ultimately $$$ in your bank account?

This 12-session webinar series answers that question, and much much more.  What we're really exicted about is the "Social Media Broadcasting" system we're developing along with some of our partners, a system that expands your online presence significantly without necessarily blogging.

We've been thrilled with the response from the Active Rain community so far, with a sizeable big large huge number of attendees in the first two series, both of which sold out.

Because of the support of the Active Rain community, we're happy to be able to offer a 50% discount off the regular $299 price.  By clicking on the orange registration button, you'll be able to get the Active Rain special price of only $149 for the 12 sessions -- about $12 each.

Are you planning on doing another one in early '09?  Mid-stream in other projects that I need to finalize first. ~ Julia

Christopher and Stephanie - congrats on being busy. Guess it's one of those things where you just have to schedule the time. But since they record it you can miss sessions and still not miss sessions. There will be more in the future if now is not good. Se comment to Dean below.

Dean - well I am only a client, not the producer, but thanks. It IS worth the time adn money (inexpensive). Chekc out their site for updates, ect. Domus Consulting Group

Richard - you will NOT regret it.

Joan - understood. There will be more, no fear.

Sharon - cool bean. Good 4 U.

Gwen - oh yes, there IS more.

Julia and Matt - see comment to Dean above.

Thanks for all the responses, and thanks so much Jeff...

Somers Team and others - if you miss the first sessions this week, we "TIVO" the session for later viewing. If we have enough demand we'll repeat sessions for those who want to catch up quickly. Finally, if you're enrolled, you may also audit any of our first two Workshops underway (at weeks 5 and 11, respectively) to see where we're headed.

The social media gives you the opportunity to be the "breaking news" go-to source in your locale... it's as powerful as blogging and a lot less work.

We look forward to seeing you at our sessions that start up this Thursday and Friday 10:30PST, and continue on every Monday at 10:30, with holiday breaks. Call me if you have any questions (415) 320-2844...

Jeff,

Why are you doing it to me? I made a bet not to spend any more money on training, as my wife says it is not  going to help (she knows better, of course). Now I am in a difficult position, and if I would have to divorce after 38 years.... yikes

Not that I would blame you,  but the thought warms me up

Sounds like something I need. I'm not seeing the light of how social networking sites will convert to real estate sales.

I signed up for this webinar - same group as Thom and John - and it's great. Being new to AR and social networking in general some of it has be a little over my head but... They have the previous classes on line and you can go back and revisit them to get the parts you missed. Pat and Kevin are great! I highly recommend it! And like someone mentioned above, I've made some new contacts w/my classmates!

Social Media Marketing is taking the industry by storm.  Facebook, Twitter, Active Rain, WordPress are becoming common place in the Agents arsenal.

But remember, stay focused on a niche.

I had hesitated to sign up however I asked Brad A  if he thought I could benefit and he said yes, so I did.   I wanted to know the possibilities of the various applications and how they would impact my business.  Pat and Kevin have done a great job so far showing us trends, usage and how to tie it all together.  For instant they finally sold me on twitter and to my surprise I have already received a consumer contact

This sounds like a great seminar.  I am on all of these sites, but don't feel like I use them to my advantage.

Jon - hmm, well I guess you can blame me if you want. It IS hard to strike a balance with spending money on training, etc. vs. making money. One leads to the other.

Alan - That will become more clear througout the webinar.

Jean - see Pat's comments and check their website too.

Sally and David - I believe so. Check on their website.

Elizabeth - I think many have the "I don't get it" feeling and Twitter is not all that intuitive. This will take you well beyond where you are now, but you are off to a good start.

Diane - it has been very informative and useful. Hope you can take part at some point.

Marcia - hope you saw PaAt's comments

Russell - well I think it is always a question of maintaining a balance, and figuring out the stuff that will bring the greatest value

Connie - you point out some escellent reasons TO be involved. And over the head can be good - it means there is plenty of learning as opposed to no value, which can sometimes happen

Dustin - you are welcome. So will we see you on-line?

Pat - thanks for the follow-up information for those who needed it.

Mark -good point in any marketing we are doing. Some folks need to determine what that niche is.

Jennifer - thanks for the testimonial

Harriet - well that's a batural mistake. LOL

Pam - it IS a great webinar AND you will learn HOW to use these site to your advantage.
