I am into Earth Day this year. Really into Earth Day. Why? Well for a lot of reasons, but the most important is because my kids are into it. They have been fixated in the last few months on all types of environmental issues,as we all should be, and they have decided that we are all really making a difference for Earth Day this year.
So living in the Denver area, I have been on the search for some Earth Day related activities that will make a difference. Here's is one I found that is definitely worth passing on.
"7,000 Trees in 7 Days" is an event that is part of Greenprint Denver. From Earth Day to Arbor Day (April 24 - 28) 2,400 volunteers will plant trees throughout the city at 40 different locations. Check the map here to find one near you. There is even a phone number to call to report your own tree plantings and make them count toward the 7,000 as well. You can also read more here about the plan to plant 1 million trees in Denver by 2025.
I love finding events like this and wanted to share with others that live in Denver.
