Thought you folks would enjoy a few pictures of the Winter Surf on the North Shore of Oahu as well as see what it's like during the Winter Months here in Hawaii.

We started out with blue skies and crisp cool air hitting our faces and enough so that we didn't need the air con in the car.

One hour of sunny weather where I could took a shot of our shadows to prove that it REALLY was sunny this November 28th morning.

But alas, a few miles down the country road and and a short time later.....

A barage of rain drops started hiting our windshield!

In between the rain and the periods of a slight let up we managed to still get some wonderful shots and a couple of videos to show everyone that Hawaii is still the paradise as you know it. :)

WooHoooooo! Though it was choppy at times, the surf on the North Shore during the winter months is what they wait for all year. This guy took to the waves and rode one only to decide to get up and over it before he got bombed.

This was right after the surfer fell on the other side (you see the little splash on the backside). This picture definitely is my favorite. It looks so......picture perfect.

I can imagine sitting there watching the waves.  What a beautiful day it would be pounding surf, rain and a Winnie the Pooh Blustry Day....yep I love Hawaii :)

I've only been to Maui, and it was all about blue skies, warm breezes and gorgeous scenery. These photos are absolutely beautiful...and that surfer is crazy!

When I lived in Hawaii I watched a guy surf one in and when he landed he hit the road.  That was on big wave---broke his board in half

Woo Hoo, Great pictures of the North Shore. When I was there is was sunny all day till I got to the North Shore andit was like a hurricane had come in. Windy, rough surf and grey in the skys. And there were at least (guessing) about 50 surfers and each seemed more skilled than the next. That one photo of the surfer (still upright) on top of the wave is amazing.

Thanks Bryant!

Ronelle: We do something similar at the office....christmas balls on the bamboo tree :)

William: I tell you what William...if you and I ever get to stand on the beach and LOOK...that's all we'll be doing...no way do I go in the water. One time I was standing with my brother...quite a ways up on the beach...and the whitewater came up and swept me up and over the wall into the boat harbor. My brother jumped in and saved me....and got more beat up than I did.
